Dirt rear camera, every time...

I've got a very wet/dirt rear camera every ten minutes when it is raining. It's terrible. Is this normal? If yes, it is a terrible design fault.
Now every time when the camera is needed, you should have to go out of the car with a cloth and dry it.
Why is this camera not visible with a motor when it is needed like some other VAG cars have? What have you done about this? In our country it is almost always rainy. Are there any options for make this thing better?

It’s normal with rear camera’s that are permanently exposed to the elements - it’s down to aerodynamics. Forward movement of the car creates a ‘pocket’ of negative air pressure behind the car, resulting in road dirt being attracted to the car’s rear end.

My previous car (a VW) had the rear camera behind the tailgate handle, so it was always clean as it was protected against the elements. With my current car, I’m not so lucky - camera is exposed so it suffers from the same dirty lens problem that yours does.
