Cheers for the info Foxy !

From your experience, when it says it reads and clears fault codes, does it scan and decode (tell me what the code means) ALL fault codes similar to VAG equipment ??

Is the display live ? (as in, it updated instantly and there's no "lag" in speed readings, like there is with GPS ?)

Also, when it says that it can show you how much fuel has been used, is that accurate and how the heck is that measured ??

Clever stuff !!!

Regards,
Andrew

It reads all data from the ECU direct via the OBD port. It has settings you can program into it to compensate for loads of stuff. Hard to explain, just get one. You wont be disappointed!

the more i look into this scangauge thing the more i want it.

How does the connector to the ODB port fit? Do you have to have the cover off permanently then?
Where have you fitted yours? Would be hesitant of putting it on the top of steering column as would attract someone to rob it.

Yeah i think ill get it. Cool.
Also want to hear back about the Vscreen one. That looks good too. But will have to be able to change to red colour.

So my list of packing up things when i stop the car and get in is getting longer - radio into case and hidding, sat nav and now this. ah well

you got any pics of this mate?
Na sorry dude, all it is is a little box that is stuck to the top of the dash board with a small piece of sticky plastic stuck to the windscreen. the box is pointed toward this plastic piece and this projects the speed onto it.
I was all set on getting this for my mota as I have wanted one for ages but never knew it was possible to get but due to getting my car track ready this year theres loads of other things to spend the money on the noo.
If you want it I can arrange it through my mate

Well gonna order one of these ScanGaugeII's today from ukobd, they said next day recorded delivery. £122 all in (incl p&p), so quite a good price. Not sure where i'm going to fit it tho as i have no more room for blanking plates etc. Might just stick it under the ash-tray box or on the top of the dash. It's quite small so won't obscure the dials in any way.

Looks a really good piece of kit !

Regards,
Andy

That "guy in greece" n ebay is actually the offical sellers of the scangaugeII device. Same as ordering off scangauge website itself.
Which Andy you can get it for €114 delivered - but i guess if you need it next day then paying €8 extra doesnt break the bank

The Vscreen will only be in blue background so that rules that out for me.

Will be ordering my scangauge II today

Foxy, do you have to have the cover of the obd port permanently off?

There'll be a lot of slack cable to try to hide if putting down under ashtray box. not sure yet

Yeah, I lost it ages ago!

I ran the cable all the way round the steering column and tucked it in between the gaps on the dash. You cant see it without looking hard.

The guy from greece on ebay is sound, mine cost me £99 inc delivery but that was a while ago, it may have gone up by now.

The trip computer part isnt massivly accurate but it give you an idea, cant fault the rest of the functions on it though.
