They dropped the TFSI name because of something to do with using the term 'Fuel Stratified Injection' I was led to believe?
So now its the same engine as before only a new name. It's not to be confused with the TSI on the 1.4 VAG engines which stands for Turbo Supercharged Injection ie the twin charged engines.
I wish they did twin charge the 2.0 litre lump.... hmmm
ok just to settle this argument i have got the new cupra facelift and it does have a new engine being the tfi unlike the last model which was tfsi which i had the fr tfsi version if this still does not settle i can happily provide some pictures for you all. oh and yes the exshaust sounds so much better more grunty than before.
