Diesel drivers: watch out for waxing, says IAM

so not good to leave our cars unused for a long period of time in this weather

I've got both Petrol & Diesel cars...I'm using Diesel for the reasons above, however the Petrol one has now stood for over a week.........all I've done is checked battery voltage(12.30v at last look) .....................should I be doing anything with the car ....I thought pointless to start it & let it run to warm up because that would not put enough juice back into the battery
