Trackslag charge pipe

Old verses the new. Most noticeable is the lack of silicone elbow now and just a small coupler. Lovely piece of machinery and welding really impressed with the finish.

Much smoother lines and does away with the dink on the underside near to the corner of the rocker cover.

Also half inch bigger diameter.

Ordered gauges for pillar pod this week so sometime after 19th when the pod is available they will be going in too!

I am very interested. Got a red lcr on a 54plate. Got ocd with cleaning and keeping it swirl free and your car reminds me of mine with how clean it is. Mine is running stage 2. I will be ordering the interior lights because they do really make the interior. Keep up the great work bud. The car is a credit to you.

Was the charge pipe off eBay?
Much difference in sound or anything?

The charge pipe is direct from trackslag from their website.

So much better build quality and look to the oem and the forge one I was running. Bigger diameter by half an inch, better bend with no dink underneath near the rocker cover and the bend continues almost to the turbo rather than using the silicone elbows.

No difference in sound over the forge one but over oem yes, can hear spool up more I found.

Cheers James. Got issues today. Fault code 17608 so some boost related DV problem that needs sorting.

All sorted. The vacuum hoses from the Fpr and the DV had totally perished. The hoses must have been poor quality as the heat has destroyed them.

Did fit my Cookbot manifold/turbo heat shield today.

How far does the shield go down towards the compressor housing, does it cover all the rubber joiner from the charge pipe?

Yes pretty much sits around the lower jubilee clip area just off the top of the turbo. Really good fit.

What the heat shield? Yes piece of cake mate. Slid it in under the charge pipe and bolted it on

R spec boost guage and oil pressure gauge.

Just waiting on a nomad double pod to become available then will look to get them fitted in the next couple of weeks!

So I have been busy today. Started off by tidying up the n249 and pipe work I had tucked at the back of the engine bay.

De cluttered it and then plugged it back in out the way.
