Done mine yesterday mate, pull plastic off boot, takes more force than you would think, but 3 screws have to come out first.

Then 3 nuts hold the motor on, one exterior nuts on the wiper pull rubber out of window and put the bung in, 20 min job.

There are 2 packets of bungs in halfords you need the 3 x 25mm one

i went to halfords, and asked wherethey was. The spotty teenage ****er didn't have a clue and looked at me as tho i asked if i could **** on his gran!

so off to Road & Rally, no luck there

So off to MotorMania - success!

Got home. Firstly popped bonnet, located rear washer, disconnected that!
Now to the boot, removed the 3 screws I had located, but now I'm struggling to take the plastic off!

But upon reading your post, i see i must put more force in! (I hate having to use force, for fear I may break something!)

Yea mate takes alot of force, but none of the clips will break because of their design

I still haven't disconnected rear washer tho, will it not leak if its disconnected? Mine holds methanol for the water injection and its to dear to leak

oh right, just had another go! i'm struggling big time trying to yank thins off (the plastic i mean ;))

Where did you pull if from?

Mat

Guest
**** me, success. nearly fell over!
lol

one clip broke :( located behind passenger back lights!)
oh well

Mat

the nuts are now off. how do i remove the wiper from the motor? just pull or twist or what?

Mat

Guest
I've located a nut at the base of the wiper arm and removed that. now what? is it just a case of using a lot of force and rip the motor away? hope not. I'm worried I'll catch the tints and scratch em!

I need advice quick as I'm due to go to work in 45mins.

all i need to do is remove the wiper arm from the motor, bung it and the put plastic back!

Sorted.

Turns out I just had to grow some balls and whack it harder with the hammer than what I had been :D

right, when i re-attached the plastic thingy, it sounded like some of the clips haven't gone back in correctly. If i knock on it, you can hear a rattle!

Mat

god knows. under the trim on the drivers side?

hold on, i'll take some pics

Mat

Guest
right, just took pics

i'm assuming you've removed the two plastic covers (behind the fogs) and removed those screws,

there's one more screw in the "grab handle"

inside the grab handle:

1 screw in there

nope.

get rain-x on it ;)

only time i missed it was this winter when it gets really dirty, and dicks behind don't have any kinds of lights on, makes it difficult to see. But then you remember, they're behind and concentrate on the road ahead. even if i still had it on in those conditions, i couldn't have used it. I hardly ever used it because I didnt like the marks it left (clean where it wiped, dirty where it doesn't :D). Only use fronts cos i have to. Although since I started using rain-x on front, i don't need to use em as much as I used to because at speed, the water just rolls off (i can have intermitent on where as others would have em on continuous :D)
