De-Cat questions

I had de-cat done yesterday on the GTi.

Few questions.........

1. Should i really notice a considerable gain
2. Why won't the dammn thing pop!! It seemed to want to pop more before i had the cat removed!

Im not too sure it was the right thing to do getting the cat removed. It doesn't sound as nice. According to my other half, it now sounds like a "chavvy corsa!"


Has anyone else done this?

If anything the car will rev more feely! If you don't notice the difference now you will when the put the cat on.

Mine only pops whem I'm reving high 6500-7000 or now & again changing gear in the red. It will burbble going down the gears on normal driving and pop at times.
