Dashboard Message

Hi all,

Under the mileage on my dash Iv got a picture of a spanner and it flashes INSP next to it which I imagine means inspection???

I dont have any current problems with the car!?

Anyone got any ideas?

I was hoping that would be the case but im not at home so I couldnt check the manual!

Can't remember the sequence now - it's in the manual though.

Something to do with holding the trip reset button whilst turning the ignition on or something

If you have numbers after the spanner has gone, its the number of days untill it has to be serviced. I looked in the manual !!!!!!!!!!!!!

isn't it something like :

hold down trip reset
switch ignition on
wait for display
release trip button
turn trip reset to right for 5 sec
release reset button
ignition off

Turn ignition on and keep button held seemed to work for me

Yes I had this problem when I first got the car and used the search and dozens of threads told me how to do this is all I am saying.

yeh but they are not to lazy to start a new thread and keep checking for replies when they could have had the answer in 5 seconds! I don't get that side of it it's not cos they are lazy dunno what it is.

If the comments regarding people being "lazy" were aimed at me then ....... (insert rude comments here)
If you look at almost all the threads I have contributed to i have done so to try and help others with problems they may have.
As I put in my original post, I tried using the search function and i also tried using google ect, i dont have a manual for the vehicle so guess what i asked a question!
My idea of a forum is somewhere for people to exchange information? So if you dont want to do that then why post in the first place?

Lighten up people, lifes to short to be sitting on here all day moaning at people because in you opinion they are "lazy".
