drop the steering wheel (if its adjustable)

2 screws in the top of the speedo surround

remove that

1 screw each side of the speedo unit (magnetic screwdriver reccomended)

slide the speedo towards you and face down

bulbs are in the top - also some on the rear for the central displays

- or slap the dash until it comes back on - works in mine now n then :)

i was thinking, is it possible to chand the colours at all?

i find the orange on black a bit boring, maybe fancy some white dials and blue interior lights or something

nice i like the look of that, how easy to do that is it anyway?

only thing is i would need to change the led's on the centre console as well as they have not worked since i had the car anyway, and i understand it can be a bitch to get the cover back on that

the orange comes from a coloured strip under the bulbd on the top of the housing

i put blue LED versions of the bulb in mine

That is cool and I would do it BUT, i dont have a fricking rev counter!
I'd rather have a rev counter in my a-pillar then take the clock out. Could possibly make the dials by takin them out the car, scanning them onto pc, re-creating some in a diff colour i.e. white then printing them out onto cardboard and sliding them into place.

my rev bulb has gone, been like that for ages, just need to get round to fixing it! Slapping the top of the dash now no longer works lol

If you have a steering wheel with airbag, then the wheel needs to come off ...believe, I've tried! Now I have the right socket to remove the wheel, just a matter of laziness. Won't be happy if the other bulb packs up and I cant see the speed Im going!

why dont you just change both the bulbs just to cover yourself when you do it smithy!? then you wont have to worry lol

Funnily enough, the SEAT bloke wasn't sure which bulb was left and which was right ....so got both, exactly with that intention ;)
