just got a new alpine head unit and it has this kool feature where I can use my phone via bluetooth to call and whatnot, anyways I need to run the mic wire from headunit to a-pillar... any easy way to do this?

I just did this for my becker grand prix mic. I just poked the cable through a hole at the bottom right of the HU case and taped it just under the steering wheel then run it up behind the a pillar.. just use electrical tape as you cant see it!

Oh and if it was a mkV it wasnt being driven properly! not the fastet when moving but good grip. You in a std LCR? - just saw your sig.. i just keep up with my mates mkIV in the twistys in a std LCR

right... I guess I could do that... altho, id prefer to get it done right... I got me long feet so it'll probably come loose and disturb me when I least need that..

No, it was the new version... dunno what MK it was.. max 2 years old. Mine is remapped and I could not believe the difference between us... not even close.

Do like russman said, a professional wouldent take the dash out lol, its a time consuming job and u will find it difficult to do probably and end up loosing somthing etc. Without looking i cant say buy try to follow a wire thats allready under there its possible and good luck if you take t he dashboard out lol

Mine had a hands free kit. The wire got poked along behind the glovebox and up the a pillar - You can poke it inbetween the a pillar and the trim piece that overlaps it. Then it was poked up between the windscreen and headlining and dropped down alongside the interior light. Simples.
