Typical.... clean the car at the weekend and the next day there is the biggest bird **** i have even seen on the door. This afternoon i have tried to remove it. although all of it has gone, you can still see the outline and looks like its marked the paint.

Any ideas how to remove

AUTO-GLEAM do some wipes called bird dropping wipes and also do a can of stuff called instant show shine to go on after! They both work really well!

Will have to try that. Have already tried some bug and tar wipes, was baked on as well... Finging birds... had nothing but bad luck with the drivers side of the car..

My car is the same buddy! I have a tree in my drive and my bonnet gets covered! But using they 2 and a bit of elbow grease seems to do the job :)

Think will have to polish it. Wipes didn't shift any of it. You can run you finger over it and its totally smooth. yet you can still see the stain... bloody birds!

think the lacquer is damaged. the paint is very smooth over the stain. whats the best polish to remove the marks? would i have to do the whole car? or just that area?
Currently washing the car with Chemical Guys Wash and Wax..

either way, he SHOULD clay. If there's any residue, and he goes straight onto polishing, there's a chance of dragging the contamination around the paint, causing more swirls marks ;)

imo i think you are being over the top mat. Its only bird muck. Polishing with a medium grade polish should suffice,a finishing polish might be too mild,so something with a bit more cut, like a swirl remover.
