Dude - What a motor - I am so jealous :)

My cousin has an Evo 8 churning out a similar amount of horses - I could imagine his face if you were to keep up in an FR.

On another note that post on the VAG-COM software is wicked convinced myself to pick that up. Where did you get yours from ? Are the ebay ones the same thing ?

You should order direct from Ross Tech in the USA mate.

As above, I got mine from Ross-tech. Only way to be sure you are getting a decent product with fully works with the latest software. I bought a cheap one before and it stopped working altogether after a month.

PS, if not even an FR :p

I'm thinking about the KWV3's and as yours, my car will be my road car and track car.
Have you tried running the bound and rebound settings on maximum softness to see how the day to day ride could be maximumised.
How stiff is it as you have it set up?
Is it alright to live with day to day?

Cheers

Hi, I havent fiddled with the settings at all yet.

It was set to the factory preset which is supposed to be the best allrounder.

It is fairly stiff but not backbreakig or anything. Im going to leave it like it is. My stiff ARB's dont help the ride though.

:)

Quick update.

Bit of a braking overhaul coming up.

Got some new front rotors, as mine as extremely worn now..

The Original AP racing ones would of cost approx 500-600 quid. But a local braking manufacturer (Hi spec) made these up for only 300. Absolutely identical too.

Got some rear pads to go on thanks to David at Seremotors for the bargin price :funk:

Will be sending the calipers for a reseal and check to AP racing at some point, then replenish with some ATE superblue fluid :)

Currently looking at which LSD to get... Hopefully before the next SCN trackday at Cadwell in november

Well I had the part number of the AP rotors, so they looked in the AP catalogue which has all the info in there, such as pcd, mounting hole sizes, vanes, etc.

Cheers Dan

Do you have any idea how the metals differ of the weight of the rotors?
Are the grooves cut facing the pad or away from the pads?

The top disc would go on the left wheel it think.

apparently theyre are from the same foundry as the AP's.. so hopefully the same. I will weigh them if you want.

I have a MK1 LCR so not much use to me but was just interested that Hispec would make bespoke discs.
Hope they work out well for you

Tidy motor BTW, I've been in DJHoraces motor alot so if yours is faster than his it'll be a bullet

Had a good day at Cadwell park yesterday, first test of the big power :)

New Goodyear F1 assymetrics all round, brake fluid change, new rotors, and refurbed calipers.

Drove quite well, would benefit from a Diff for sure, so thats next ohn the list.

Got a short vid of a few clips....
