Got a few bits to do to the car (brake's all round, oil & filter, plugs, wheel refurb and a few other little things) then I think its going in the for sale section

Don't forget damo, there are local mapped lc2 k04 owners willing to give free test drives!
The louder you scream, the faster the ride!

Cheers Chris :D

I'll drop you a lint next week to sort something out mate ;)

Damo, you got any latest pics of your engine bay?

Does your Green filter fit with the engine cover ON?
And what have you done about cold air feed to it - just enlarged the standard feed?
Thanks mate

Hartosh - do you know the dimensions of the Jetex? I think it's quite a lot shorter than the Green isn't it - like 150mm as aposed to 200mm?
Damo - sorry for hijack :)

Damo, another question for you now ;)

The standard cold air feed housing, the plastic bit you've joined the ducting to:

I've had a look, and there is a 5mm slot/gap at the bottom of the feed, where it appears air can pass without actually going down the ducting - instead it just passes through the engine bay.

Did you block this up, to get more air down the ducting? Was thinking of doing it to maximise the air getting to the filter.

Thx

I cant remember seeing that slot Paul, so I have not blocked anything up.

I did cut out the little flap from the inside though.

Interesting - here's my intake:

You see the slot at the right??? The end this photo looks down is from the ducting looking down to the front of the intake like yours.

Seems weird having this gap, think I should fill it in.

EDIT: It's ok, further research has come up with a good thread on here, RashCupra had the same thing and blocked it up - sounds like it's a possible water escape route.

I sealed that gap with black silicone sealant on mine
