I mainly listen to radio x, but the signal is terrible. Constantly dropping out saying no signal. I can be parked up and it will drop out after playing fine. I’ve tried rebooting and retune but nothing seems to work. No other channels have this issue and my last Leon or merc never had the problems in the same areas. Any suggestions?

It is not unknown for one of the DAB transmitters to be faulty. D1 is often transmitted from different sites from the BBC services.

That would be served by Winter Hill for all the national services. BBC and D1 have the same power and using the same antennas so coverage should be similar. I do not see any problems reported for the site. It is a major site, so you would expect them to notice if something was not right unlike the smaller sites.

That leaves you with interference which is not so likely if it is the same everywhere (unless the interference is generated by something in the car) or the radio really is faulty. If you have a portable radio, try with that in and around the car. Try it with the cars radio on and off.

It is not impossible though not the most likely issue. One more thought, are Kiss and Magic similarly affected? They are both on D1 but use the older DAB whereas Radio X uses DAB+ like most other stations on D1.

OK, I am running out of ideas. I would try with a portable radio in and around the car.
