i would love that mate! Would just need to organise time off work, if i'm honest i doubt it'll touch a lota highly tuned petrol hot hatches. But i guess you don't know until you try. Would be kl mate. Will wait for the good weather to come in. Sportlines are on two weeks tomorrow. And i am toying with that WALK kit. In all honesty poverty coming back to the thread that focus was quick mate and it was rolled at 262bhp, and i was surprised i pulled on it, but maybe i'm underestimating my car a wee bit.

I think you are underestimating your car, but thats all the fun of it, you cant really appreciate how quick your car is sometimes till you have had some plays against cars you know that are quick and you beat em!

DjHorace's car is a step or two above mine, deffo try and get a ride in his if you can as thats pretty much a ultimate k04 leon.

Get your arse to AmDEssex ( Rolling Road day) on sun 21 and see Pov's car in the flesh it really is an animal bloody lovely looking aswell. As to the question Cupra will win altho at end of the day its down to the driver. I'd give it ago in mine but then thats just me growing up in Essex ( fecking hate fords):cartman:

oh rubbish I only live near bluewater so that like 10 minutes away, but the misses wants to go look at a bloody cat in southend tomorrow.... Will try and swing in on route but not sure if she will enjoy it LOL.

I need to keep an eye out for meets round this area, I want to try and swindle a ride in a stage 2+ to convince myself it's worth spending the extra cash;)

An Ed30 with DSG is gonna be faster than a Cupra with equivalent mods though. The 13.1 is a good 0.4 seconds faster than I managed with the power mods - in fact with all the power mods to make what people commonly know as stage 2+. Ben only has an exhaust, map and panel filter. DSG shaves about half a second off a 1/4 mile time vs manual version though.

Nonetheless, a Cupra should still bury a standard turbo Focus ST over the 1/4 mile assuming both are being driven by capable drivers.

DSG definately helps on the time, but I don't think it's as much as 1/2 a second TBH. The launch control is certainly no advantage over a manual, especially FWD. There are two lads on Mk5 forum with K03 GTI's who have exactly the same mods (in fact the DSG has a diff too) and they are only 0.2 second apart. I think a Stage 2+ Cupra with the right driver can easily get a low 13 @ Pod on the right day with a good launch. Especially if Stage 3 VXR's can run 13.6's there..
Would be interesting to see what Pov and others do if this up coming meet @ Pod takes place as by the sounds of it he isn't shy to give his car some beans.. ;)

were you using r888's to get that time ben? Also Hurdy's got pretty much every mod going and did a similar time, although he should be in the 12's this year.

If Pod was closer, I would give it a go. For what its worth, at Crail last weekend a Stage 3+ Astra VXR made 13.993 @ 106 approximately. That was a car with all the bolt ons with a hybrid turbo and 313bhp.

Astra, as you say, now and then make 13.6 at Pod. The quality of the surface at Crail is crap, but you can compare 2 cars there, and for what its worth, I did see a Focus ST make 13.6 at Crail, but it was not running its original turbo ;). Never seen an Astra VXR go that quick on a standard turbo at Crail.
