Just been reading another post, quote below;

To re-set the sevice indication (if your dealer forgets to do it like mine did....)

1. Press and Hold the Odometer knob in
2. Turn the ignition on (do not start the car though)
3. Turn the odometer knob to the right and hold for about 5 secs.
4. Release odometer knob and switch ignition off.
5. Start car, Service indicator should now be gone

My K1 is coming up for its 1st service, 10K. Currently done about 9,500 miles. (I don't want to reset it)

My previous FR used to warn me of how many miles left till service due.

Should my display do the same on the Cupra / K1 and if so how many miles before service does it usually warn you?

Just wondering in case previous owner had reset.

All I seem to get at present when ignition tuned on is 'fasten seatbelt' but no other messages or bleeps etc follow to warn due for service. Any clues?

I had similar with my Cupra. It started counting down at 10K miles to a service at 10.5K or thereabouts.

From memory you can check the service indicator by:

Swicth the car to ignition stage 2 but do not start the car.

Press the trip reset button in (or it might be pull it out).

I'm sure I posted it somewhere so if that doesn't work PM me and I'll did out the thread.

I'll have a dig and see if I can find your post but still no warning message or 'spanner' comes up and 300 miles left till it reaches the 10K mark.

When I carried out above all it did was reset the trip counter!

From the manual it suggest that the service intervals can be setup based on mileage or time duration dependant on driver habits? Maybe this is why it's not coming up.

Not a great issue as I'll get it serviced at 10K anyway but just to satisfy my curiousity

I would also be interested to see the count-down service indicator function. When I had my old BMW 330d it had a count-down service indicator and it amazed me how much the miles used to jump down depending on the driving style.

I do less than 7000 miles per year, so the car will always be serviced once a year anyway.

Mine came on at exactly 10K.

You need to press the trip indicator in for a few seconds otherwise it will just reset the trip counter.
