I seen that all suspension parts be I g shocks. Antiroll bars lower arms etc all say for the cupra r or not. What is the difference between a "R" suspension and a normal leon

The anti roll bars ,front shockers and lower arms are all different on the cupra r

The anti roll bar if I remember right sits in a different place as the drop links go from the anti roll bar up to the front shocker
The lower arms are a cast steel

The normal Leon has a lower arm where the anti roll bar drop links bolts into it

I have some "r" lower arms to fit. But am going to fit black pollybush to them first. Main reason is as I am going to be ordering my suspension struts soon . Going for AST with coil overs on the rear I want to make sure I get all the right set up.
Then it's going to have whiteline anti roll bars front and rear.
I been told that the "r" set up is the same as a 2wd audi??

Whiteline do, do them for the R.
Eibach do a version for the TT which is a direct fit. Has adjustable front.

That’s correct, however, I’m sure a member on here found a TT cast wishbone with the link point of a cupra

Yes some early TT cast arms came with a small nub which can be drilled and tapped to accept the stock ARB drop links rather than using the longer R / TT shock mounted type.
However these are quite difficult to source.

I know this was a while back but could anyone direct me to the cheapest mk1 Leon cupra r front arms? Looking online, they all appear to be ‘not for cupra r’
Thanks!

Bit of a late reply, but will LCR springs and shocks work on a standard Cupra? I’ve asked something similar before but wanted to double-check as I’m leaning towards OEM now because of the price difference. My car’s currently on JOM coilovers, but I’m after standard parts for more comfort over bumps.

Can I mix standard shocks with LCR springs, or would I need both LCR shocks and springs to keep it slightly lower than stock and closer to how it sits now?

Also, when looking at parts, I see some listed as "for vehicles without sports suspension, "'' Suspension: for vehicles with standard suspension'' and "Suspension: for vehicles without bad road version." Are these the ones I should avoid?
