Model Year 23/24 Cupra mode Ambilight

Hi we have a query about our 2023 310 V2 that we can't explain or work out. When in Cupra mode and the ambilight is set to driving mode we know that the red led in the dash grows with throttle position from the middle.
When cruising though, braking or turning the ambilight has a mind of its own and will flash sections left and right in what seems a random pattern. Would love to know the reason behind it.

Just to clarify: when you say "will flash sections left and right" are you referring to this section of light?

This doesn't work like before as in my prev 2021 VZ2 Hybrid. The light used to work like a rev counter on throttle, then grow from the ends on braking pressure, was really cool.
I now have a 2024 VZ2 Hybrid, it still works on throttle but is constantly flickering on and off as the car regens from auto braking etc.
Whatever they've done to the software has mucked it up.

Things I have discovered about the car.

It almost acts like a rev counter with the light growing from the centre of the dash out and around as you apply throttle. I tied that in Cupra mode today, funky! It does t work in DCC Sport though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No it's not the blind spot detection. It's red light and random sections all the way around the doors and dash. I'll try to record it next time I go out.
