Hi

Was messing about with the cupra connect app and notice you can lock and unlock the door remotely. When I went to try it this came up

Is it worth while going to the dealer and getting this process done?

Is it only the doors locking unlocking that I am missing out on or will this activate other features?

Thanks

From the manual:

Ownership and identity accreditation Become primary user To become a main user and thus prove ownership of the vehicle, you need both of the vehicle’s physical keys. Ownership accreditation takes place in the vehicle during registration or, if you already have a CUPRA CONNECT user account, you must log in through the infotainment system and then go to Manage users

● Switch on the ignition and the infotainment system.
● In the infotainment system, register in CUPRA CONNECT.
● Or: open the menu Manage users > Settings > Become primary user and follow the instructions.
● Press the unlock button on the first vehicle key.
● Press the unlock button on the second vehicle key.

Once the infotainment system has processed the orders by radiofrequency, the accreditation of the ownership will have been completed. You can control the current status on the CUPRA CONNECT website. How is ownership accredited? Infotainment 2-Key method. CUPRA CONNECT website No, it is not possible CUPRA CONNECT application No, it is not possible Identity accreditation (SEAT Ident) Identity accreditation must be completed before you can use CUPRA CONNECT services that are relevant to security, such as the 174 Data transfer “Remote Opening” service. I can confirm that I followed this process and it all worked without having to go to my dealer for verification.

I did all that when I first got the car but it’s still asking mento complete the process before I can remotely unlock the doors

If it’s only the door I wouldn’t bother but was wondering if I was missing out on anything else

Do you really need to lock and unlock doors remotely? I would prefer to keep this option off, in case it malfunctions, like in Mercedes and Audi, when owners found their boot or windows open. When it's disabled, it can't go wrong ;-)

I don't but was wondering if any other feature was missing due to not being confirmed
