Cupra holding revs/increasing revs when changing gear?

When driving the car sometimes under load or heavy acceleration, when I change gear the revs sometimes increase by say 500rpm before dropping back. I have just replaced the DV for a forge one but still does it. Any ideas?

this white switch. Make sure it is made when the pedal is at rest and that it is released when the pedal is pressed.
As you can see, mine is now glued in, the threads bugger quote easily with it being plastic

remove the bit storage space below the steering column, you'll see it.
Think it helps with emisions somehow.

yea has this problem with mine screwed it in real tigth and not been a problem have you had the epc light on the dash?

nice one thanks will have a look. In that thread a guy talks about a small white nut on the throttle controller? Whats that is it the same thing?

Nah, I just made it up

mine was doing exactly what yours is doing and it was that white switch behind the clutch pedal, it had moved out of place!

I got Bill (from badger5) to have a look at it and he had a right battle with it lol
