liking the look of bigger mouth. with removing the grill you need to go to any toolshop and by a soldering iron then melt igsisting tags on low heat pulling grill off the tags whilst heating them. work way round all tags and will be released then tags on bumper are reusable too! i bought this soldering hand held tool from halfords for work for this reason cost about £10-£15 then when replacing grill if your not happy with it just simply place all tags in holes and remelt with solder.

with the re-enforcer i wouldnt try remounting it or removing it or modifying it because you wont have a fmic if you prang it! picture at top of page has removed his re-enforcer by the looks of it!

would be good to see pictures of it finished good luck!

If got a soldering tool, so I could take it off, its just I dont have any mesh to put in place now as the stuff I got isnt big enough. I think it will look good though. Im just wondering wether to take the grill out, and then put the bumper back on fully open till I can get some mesh that fits.

with mesh it looks good but ne stones of bird or ne little hits will totally difugure it and will look terrible also very hard to mount into a bumper like this as there is nothing to atach it to in the bumper so fibre glass or filler all round the inside of the bumper to hold it in this just gets messy?

my m8 has done this to his clio sport lower grill section (mesh) and looked wicked but couple of stones later it was fooked.

have you thought about cutting out all honeycomb on standard grill leaving the outer shape and attaching mesh to that then also keeping all original lugs to hold it in you would also keep the right kerv by doing this? i done this to my rover 25 front grill just an idea so dont mock the car lol!

i like the mesh work looks realy good close up but as you say looks funny standing back i like the way you can see that wicked lower intercooler pipe you should give silver mesh a go make the mouth stand out more!

Just some cheap halfrauds stuff. I think it would look good on a non-black car, similar to the pic I posted at the begining. But doesnt really suit the black unfortunatly. Maybe silver mesh would work, not sure.
