Maybe i'll chase them up again soon then, yeah mines through Hatfield also, what makes it worse is someone made me an offer on my Leon 3 weeks ago so no longer even have a carYup mines got DSG, you are right makes no sense, came via Hatfield cupra.
This is just speculation, but I think they might be finishing the 2023 MY ordered in June/July before the 2022 MY ordered in April/May. Might be because they need a specific part for the 2022 which is holding it up in the production line. They switched model years on builds starting from June so it's possible you had a May BW.Mid July? i ordered through them 2nd May and all i have got from them is that my car is stuck in build since build week 39 in late September, would love to know how orders placed months after get delivered so quickly haha, i did go for DSG box so not sure if that's why.
Usually they’ll finish MY22 and change to 23 otherwise they’d have a mixture of parts feeding into the production lines which would be a nightmare to control. (That’s what happens at Nissan where I work). This is just speculation, but I think they might be finishing the 2023 MY ordered in June/July before the 2022 MY ordered in April/May. My Formentor that I ordered in April is a 2022 MY and hasn't been delivered yet, while someone I know who ordered in June has a 2023 MY and got his a few weeks ago. Both with similar specs (both DSG).
At least for my MY22 Formentor, that's not the case as it just left the production line 2 weeks ago, and people have been receiving their MY23 Formentor's for the past few months.Usually they’ll finish MY22 and change to 23 otherwise they’d have a mixture of parts feeding into the production lines which would be a nightmare to control. Unfortunately the VIN is VSSZZZKMZNR0819XX, with the N indicating it's a MY22.I have a feeling when you finally get it you’ll find it’s actually a MY23
Well after seeing this i decided on Friday to ring to get an update and now finally been told its being shipped and now finished production so should expect it in January, i guess its a MY23 as the BW was 39 in September, only difference i believe it the black headliner and 12 inch screen instead of 10". They think it maybe due to the blue leather interior chosen but who knowsUsually they’ll finish MY22 and change to 23 otherwise they’d have a mixture of parts feeding into the production lines which would be a nightmare to control. Thanks for this. I ordered mine 26th august, but I did see United spirit will be in Italy 30th so hopefully it’ll mean next 2 weeks it’ll be here in ukHi. Mine came on Nordic Ace. The boat went from UK to Italy to Spain and back to the UK so this is probably correct on what you saw about United Spirit.
I ordered on 12 August 2022 and it arrived in the UK during the 1st week of Jan 2023. I collected it on the 21st
No worries, I'm sure you can't wait now. Be sure to read the forums regarding what others have experienced since owning their Formentors...it helped me a lot especially regarding the Cupra Connect App and brake noise. Thanks for this. The ‘P’ identifier in the VIN relates to a vehicle’s model year rather than build year. A car built in week 39 2022 would be a 2023 model year car.So interestingly i have finally been given my Reg, and vin number with it being delivered for next friday 3rd! after 10months of waiting its nearly over. checking the vin however i have noticed that although my build week was 39 (sep) my chassis number indicates it was built this year (P) so thinking the build week given to me was a load of rubbish ?
Thank you, just spotted that it refers to model year rather than year built, cheers. The ‘P’ identifier in the VIN relates to a vehicle’s model year rather than build year. A car built in week 39 2022 would be a 2023 model year car.
