Got it fitted last night. Bunged a mates brother £20 to shove it up on some ramps and do it for me as the angle of the rear beam was a problem with lowness.

Went straight on. All brackets and rubbers included! Dunno what I was worried about!

Now with a cable tie round the rear rubber stretching it out there is a 4/5mm clearance and the bumper hasnt even been cut!

Thanks to flapper i now have the mk3 mounts so thats a job for a dry, warmish day.

Are you having any problems with the hanger before the backbox hitting the rear beam? And are you getting the tailpipes vibrating against the plastic trim on the bottom of the bumper. I think mine will have to be cut when i fit the new mounts

I can't see why you would need the mk3 Cupra Exhaust mounts? When the exhaust was on the floor, it carried the exact same brackets and mountings as the one that was ripped off!

No banging anywhere yet, the only thing that could possibly cause a problem is the bumper being too close to the pipes, but as I said there is still 4/5mm of clearance.

With it the way it is at the moment it actually looks to be a better fit than the one that was removed... the old diesel type exhaust had melted a groove in the bumper and was knocking!

I need the mk3 mounts as the hanger comings off the exhaust dont fit in the mounts as the hole in the mount is front to back, not left to right as the hanger.

Im definetely going to cut alittle bit off the bumper to try and get rid of the knocking ive got at times!
