are you doing in your cars?
i'm trying to find out as much as i can on cupras/ cupra r's/ cupra tdi's because i'm planning to move up the ladder car wise. i currently drive a 1.2 corsa but i only commute 15 miles per day so i don't need anything bigger than that at the minute. but a job change in the near future will see me covering about 70/80 miles per day. mostly on A and B roads as northern ireland is still pretty rural for the most part.
so instead of doing 4k per year travelling to work, i'll be looking at closer to 20k. this to me seems a bit much to be doing in a petrol car! but i have fallen in love with a red cupra r , so i'm in a dilema. go with the diesel version, save money and content myself. or pay the extra in terms of fuel, insurance and tax and have the better looking more powerful petrol variety?
because i live so close to the border, i nip over to the south to buy my petrol so it only costs 75pence per litre which would help running costs.
what sort of range is expected from a full tank from cupra r and a cupra tdi, and what size is the tank?
i know a 200bhp car isn't bought for fuel economy but if the fun of driving it outweighs the fuel economy of the derv i could see past it.
cost of buying the car isn't a problem but if the running costs are too big my girlfriend will roast me lol
btw, sorry for rambling on a bit and thanks in advance for any info
