They stopped doing the orange on the new EZ model. When I went to look at one at the dealers he said the orange was available until I showed him. Would have had that colour too. Don't see many Cupra's where I live and mine was the only blue locally. Saw a new grey one yesterday, that looked nice

yea i thought they stopped the orange before the new 290 came out, and i don't think it was available on the 300 until after it launched so it should be quite limited, if my google foo is correct, going off these 2 posts:

orange colour started : November 2017
300 stop production: June 2018

so if i'm correct(probably not though) only a 6 month window for orange cupra's,

i haven't seen any other orange cupra's on the road and I've only seen 1 other one on this forum @Tully1980

Wait, what? It's not an option for you guys? It was 1000chf extra here just for them
Not that I'm aware of mate, though I might be wrong. I enquired at the dealership and the guy didn't even know what they were so I gave up there and then. 1000CHF is roughly 800GBP right, seems a little expensive but worth it in my opinion, simply for how much better it makes the car look!

The buckets as an option were around £1300 in the uk however frustratingly they removed them along with seat sound.

Crazy fools! I'd have bitten heir hands off for both. Seriously underwhelmed by the standard Cupra seats and also the standard sound system. I was told the "engine start" button was originally intended for all models but they scrapped it and changed to the LUX model only which is insane these days. My outgoing Audi is 8 years old and has that technology. Going back to a key just seems primitive as hell. 1st world issues hey :roflmao:

There was a time where you could spec everything, but after the debacle of wltp and stupid wait times for a SEAT I ended up buying a pre wltp pre registered cupra. Would’ve preferred ordering a brand new cupra however to get the same kit minus seat sound I have to get the lux which has leather seats which don’t interest me in the slightest. I assume they’ve removed the buckets to make them more exclusive for the R ST?

Not to mention they’ve now removed all colours. I assume this is because the copper doesn’t match very well on colours.

Somebody posted a picture on another thread of the blue and red side by side...don't wish to add salt to the wound but the blue is much nicer than the red...

It was me!!

I have a Desire Red 300 minus the copper accents.

To be honest I’m not keen on the Red and copper and think the Blue and copper looks better.

Same this is why I think colours have been removed.

I love the blue, most cars here seem to range from white to black, I've seen one other mystery blue cupra here and no orange (except a focus ST)

I'm with you, much prefer the Alcantara trim, though I am openly envious of the LUX's wireless charging and keyless ignition. The LUX line is a pointless addition if you ask me for the sake of a couple of extra gadgets, it does nothing but undermine the standard Cupra's which in itself is crazy. A "standard" Cupra shouldn't be "Standard" that's the whole point! I'm struggling to see what they hope to achieve by that.

Ordinarily, I'd choose the red over the blue every day of the week, but the Copper and red is just something I can't agree with. I've not seen a picture of the back of the red with copper but I struggle to believe I'd like it...

So a Cupra doesnt get the wireless charge and kessy in the UK? What's the point? A Cupra should be top model and come with bloody everything...

Nope. Unless you opt for the LUX. To be honest it almost put me off getting a Cupra full stop. All they're doing with these tactics is lessening the brand. Cupra should get all the toys and the best ones at that, otherwise, like you said, what's the point?!
