Im sorry i did use the search function and couldnt find!!

Ive got a 5dr 130Tdi sport 04. with the standard 16" alloys on. Would it be possible to get the 17" Ibiza Cupra alloys for it, would they be a straight fit or will i need to get suspension/spacers or anything?

Thanks!!

They should be a straight fit without any problem!

You could get spacers to throw them out a bit so they look nicer on the car (fill the arches)...

Anyway, I have fitted 17"s on my 130 Sport (not the Cupra ones though), and even on a lowered car, they don't cause any problems, so go for it!

they should fit fine. i want to do it to mine. you can get replica wheels which look the same but dont cost as much as the genuine ones. Don't know if you need to buy shims of something for them to fit. check it out anyway.

17's slow acceleration cos its bigger and takes longer for one rotation. the smaller the wheel, the quicker the acceleration, the bigger the wheel, the higher top speed. not noticeable at all i wouldnt have thought. I think im right in saying it takes 3 inches either way of your standard wheel size to adjust your speedo! i dunno....hmmm... geunine Cupra alloys, cant find them anywhere tbh! not even ebay

Erm wont the total diameter of the wheels be the same --- You will have to put lower profile tyres on or you risk catching the arches--- therefore there will be no difference in top speed or acceleration.

Will handle better because of the smaller sidewalls and also be lighter --- which is the point in having bigger wheels.

Standard tyres for the cupra rims are 205/40/R17.

Compared to the original Seat 16" s (like the ones you have), the 17" s (OZ) don't effect the performances. (I've put those 16" s on for the winter...)

I noticed only a slight difference when changing from OZ 16" to OZ 17", but it's really not that noticeable and it shouldn’t be a concern![B)]

Probably is yeh! i dunno tbh. am blonde so.... i think there is an option of putting 235 tyres on 7 inch wheels but i wouldnt want to. plus you might get rubbing when full lock. i honestly dont know.

you want 205/40/17's on cupra or 215/40/17 if you want a bit of rim protection.

they will fit straight on but wil look like a 4x4.

get coilovers and it will look mint... mine didnt scrub..

can get piccies if you want?

what are the size of the ibiza cupra alloys then? well i know there 17" but the tyres?

on my 130 tdi sport there the 205/45/16.

so if i managed to find them from somewhere i duno as Ibiza 130 tdi couldnt find any even on ebay, put some lover profile tyres on them say 205/40 or do they do 205/35? tyres and they will look very sexy and not make any difference to anything?
