Looking for anyone to shed light on this error code (Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor / Switch Circuit Bank 1) which has appeared a day after having the car remapped. Could be coincidence or maybe how the ecu is interpreting the data and has taken a couple cycles to trigger? Car drives fine, no issues with surging or "lumpy" acceleration.

Car has recently had an uprated sachs clutch and r600 intake installed but has done 1500 miles since without issue.

Had this fault on my Mk 6 Golf GTI - different code. Had the engine warning light come on. Needed a new intake manifold as the sensor is integral to the manifold. Basically in my case the flaps in the manifold which move as engine speed increases to allow more turbo boost and decrease the normal air flow uses a sensor to control the flaps. If the sensor fails the flaps do not move. I did not notice a significant effect on performance but was not being heavy footed at the time. Deleted the code a couple of times but came back and the other half did not like the light being on! VAG have produced a revised manifold.

who's file?
Quantum Tuning - fella that did the map ran through it again with vagcom but couldn't find anything pointing the finger at the issue. Turned the second lambda off during the first map for future exhaust install then turned it back on during the second map yesterday. This was the only thing modified in the first map. Chances are its just a dodgy sensor that was pushed over the edge. Its in to get seen to tomorrow.

For those interested in was the sensor. Replaced with a new unit.
