I purchase a kit for my 2003 Leon Cupra from APR Europe, now Revoteknic, they charged £75.00 at the time, and as I have a very good relationship with my dealer, they fitted it for me. Although they were interested to find out how easy a job it was, so they could offer it to others as an option. Best bet is to ask your local dealer. Can only say No, if they do, speak direct to Revo, they used to charge £150.00 plus vat to supply and fit to a Cupra.

Thanks for the info mate..

I'm considering a vehicle upgrade due to my mileage, and the TDI SE is it.)

What performance enhancements can be made to the 1.9 110 unit?

From the 110 you should see about 140+hp and about 270-280ft/lb torque from chipping alone.

Do you know what the approximate cost of chipping the 110 would be?

I've just read the above mentioned thread.. I'm getting very tempted..

The Revo stuff is expensive (£499+vat) but I'm not sure if available for the 110.
Upsolute does some very good work. On continental europe it costs about 300 euros (about £200) to due. Neil (TDI110) has done this to his Leon. I think he's been dyno'd at 154hp.

Ok - maybe save that for a more affluent day |

Any other mods that can be done to the deisel unit or vehicle itself that would aid performance other than chipping?

(I test drove the 110 a while back - and was impressed, but as ever want that little bit more!) I figure, If i'm gonna keep the vehicle for a while and run up the miles then I may as well customise the car and get the most from it!

De-cating it will make the turbo spool up quicker (faster)!
Adding a panel filter will do pretty much the same. You might not get much more hp from the above mentioned mods, but it will sure be a bit quicker (and probably more fuel efficient).

How will all these mods effect insurance/warranty?

(Will be buying with my wallet - not just heart ( )

Pannel filter is one of those cotton/washable replacement filters.
You can pick one up from Bill (ibizacupra).
Don't know about insurance, you'll have to ask one of the Uk guys.

VW do a retro fit cruise control kit, this fits any thing with the ability in the ecu to run cruise and has the same stalk as the MK4 golfs. There is also a kit for MK3 golfs (Ibiza tdi?) if anyone is intrested.

Part number for MK4 Golf (LEON/TOLEDO) 1J0 998 527 - £51.50 + vat + fitting (approx 2 hours).

I've been quoted less than £130 all in! :D

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

If I remeber correct, this part number is listed on the VW parts CD as "TDi" only, and does not come with the correct wiring harness for a Leon cupra. On Cupra's, the wire has to be threded through to the ECU, and connected to the relevent pins, on a TDi, most the loom is already there, so it is a simple "plug in" fitment. Although it did only take my dealer 2 hours to fit mine, and that was never fitting one before.
