Cruise Control, Part No's Required..

Hi guys & gals,

Got time off work soon so will be wanting to fit cruise control to my mk3 cupra, now i know they somepeople have said it needs a whole new stalk set (both) but i have noticed people have had it done using only the one stalk and wiirng loom.

please can somebody confirm the parts i need for a mk3 cupra, and alkso i seem to remember there being a website with instructions on fitting it, anybody remember the link?

Just to add, i want the stalk that has the + and - buttons on it so i can adjust speed. Thanks all

dont forget to tell the insurance, retro fitting cruise is an insurance no no from what i've been told in the past, could just be a dirty rumor though

OEM parts, looks no different.

i agree but they will know what the car had at the point of leaving the dealers.

unlikely. I had an insurance person out to my old car which was stripped out with a cage, wheels & suspension.

didn't bat an eyelid

slightly different i'd say, but better safe than sorry, if you had a bad smash and they started inspecting you car then they would be looking for the OEM spec to confirm not mods have been made that they are not aware of.

You need both stalks as they come as a one piece unit IIRC, not got part numbers though i'm afraid, reckon I could do this in about 2 hours if anyones interested.

i gave up matey, decided to use the other car which has cruise for long journeys plus my dash has no rattles, so i don't want to create any

bump, a mate wants cruise on his mk3 ibiza but is a mechanic, anybody got a lsit of parts and which ecu pin to wire it into guys?

I believe its one stalk unit (does it replace the wiper stalk also??)

All help would be apprichated, nobody seems to still know/willing to list the parts involved
