I posted some of these in the mk4 section a while ago, but i thought i'd share them with you all.

Comments/photographic tips welcome :)

BTW i'm personally not too keen on the last 2 pics, and my favorites are 3 and 4

that looks really cool!!! How do you do the black and white background on photoshop? do you have to lassoo the whole car and adjust the background layer accordingly?

its really easy m8!

- Open your image, and go to "layer"
---> "new adjustment layer"
----->"channel mixer"
-------> click ok,
---------> tick the monochrome check box.
That makes a new layer and turns the image black and white.

---> select your standard brush tool (or press "b" on the keyboard).
-----> set the foreground colour to "black"
-------> and the background to "white"
---------> then just paint over the parts of the image you want to make coloured.

You have to zoom in and adjust the brush size to get the neatest line possible.

Its as simple as that! Enjoy!

I really like the 2nd and last image some good contrasts with the bodywork angles and architectural features. The 1st image would work if you cropped it or had more of the car in it and the numberplate looks a wee bit harsh. Got a good eye there, what camera you using ?
