Creaking - engine mount?

My Ibiza has developed a horrendous creaking noise coming from what seems to be just behind the center of the dashboard. Don't think it's clutch/brakes as it usually happens when the car is moving and in gear.
I'm thinking it could be one of the engine mounts. Anyone had to have this repaired and if so what sort of cost should I expect?

I have the exact same problem, thought it was the clutch at first until i realised any slight jolt did it, although it only seems to occur when engine is cold, disappears after a while.

My dad seems to think its just some sort of flotsam rubbing in the dashboard, but i'm not convinced

mine does it too when setting off or braking, goin to take it to dealers soon

I had the same problem, I took it to seat and they found out it was steering rack. hope it helps.

Anyone had any price quotes for any of these jobs at a main dealer? would really help as i am driving down tomorrow

Just popped it down to my local for a look. The creaking seemed to go away with a bit of grease but there is a bit of play on the front busher just behind the passenger side wheel.

Booked it in for a replacement, will see if that cures it.

One N/S/F bush replacement and we have no creaking.

Over £100 less wealthy though...
