Creaking clutch while releasing pedal

Hi guys,

Bought a Seat Ibiza 1.4 56 plate few months ago. On about 83k miles, flew through MOT and just had a full service.

Recently though when I release the clutch pedal after changing gear there is a creaking kind of noise. Only just started happening. The gears sometimes also seem a little hard to get into, but I cannot remember how long they've been like that, or if they were ever smooth, which I think they were when I first bought the car.

Anyway, seeing as the garages are closed today, anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Cheers!

If you think that it is coming from the pedal as opposed to the actual clutch mechanism, maybe try spraying some silicone lubricant on to the area of the pedal pivot and its nylon bushes.
Sometimes these noises are temperature/time of year dependant - so might disappear again!

I'm not sure where it's coming from to be honest. I can't pin point the location of the sound, especially as it only happens when I'm driving. It's been doing it about a week so could be temperature related. Just sounds like a stressed creak every time I release.

56 plate 1.4 here too, and mine's been doing the same for a couple of years. I only notice it with windows down when parked next to a wall or something else that reflects the sound. It does seem to come and go with temperature, and also if the car has been sitting for a while.
