still got a good motor there mate, i will always love the mk2 ibiza as its by fast the best hatchback of its generation imo

just as a heads up i got my leon fr tdiy only a few weeks ago and the loan with the bank as well, i didn't have any commitments such as other loans and such but had no problems with the loan from the bank

Thats good to know, thanks mate. But I think I will keep hold of the Ibiza for another 6-8 months. Im in the last year of my apprenticeship and still need to run back and forward to college. Then I will be on my full rate so I think I will wait until then.

Abit of progress.

Had to remove the backbox as it and the pipe has decided to part company so its running with no backbox for the time being. My new backbox is currently on order so should be getting fitted next week.

Got my headunit fixed and back from the warrenty company and its fully working now. So it is now back in the car. And Ive got it fitted perfect and not moving this time for some reason.

Got a few plans for next year. New wheels, upgrading to coilovers and a few other bits and peaces. Thats all for now.

Got my new wheels for the summer!![B)] :D

Should be going on about March/April when I get rubber for them. Got myself a set of mk3 Oz Super-Ts. Going to go with Toyo's on them but im undecided if I should go with a 195 wide tyre or a 205 wide tyre.

Plus I think I will need new wheels bolts, Can anyone confirm?

Got my new exhaust on. Now I have a nice shiney double tailpipe coming from under the bumper. :D

Plus I got my new wheels today.

Sorry about the quality, best I could do as it was dark when I got home from work.

In pretty good nick, will need a touch-up in a few places. But to be used wheels and a good few years old they are in good condition. Cant wait to get rubber on them then onto the car.

Gave the Ibiza a quick clean today so I grabbed a quick pic before it started snowing as it was blowing in the wind when I was finishing.

Clean-1stFeb.jpg

Plans for the next few months:
Service this month.
FK badgeless grille.
Coilovers.
Gti Sideskirts. (if I can get a set.)
Colour-code mirrors.
Tyres for the Oz's and onto the car.
Really good clean, polish and wax.
Tidy up the engine bay abit with a few parts.
Cold air feed into the airbox.

And in the better weather abit of tlc as I found a few rusty spots. :(. Just small areas, mainly the bonnet.

Thought I would dig up my old thread.

It got its new 20vt backbox in the first week of January and the spacers are off for time being, may also be permanent.

After being neglected the last few weeks/months Ive decided to spend some money on the Ibiza.

Got a service the end of last week and is running loads better. Got my Green filter out to be cleaned. Once its cleaned and backing Im making my own air intake into the airbox using silcone/alloy pipe.

Bought myself a badgeless Fk grille to go on, also bought a 10 led interior light and led reverse bulbs after seeing a picture of them in another thread (beezertart.). Also have some chrome indicator bulbs for the front indicators and a new indicator to fit. Oh and Ive decided the rear wiper is going after using rain-x for the first time a few weeks back. Its amazing stuff.

Got some tyres to get for the Oz's and then they are going on. Cant wait :D. All arches are being cleaned out when this happens.

May have one or two other things planned like some coilovers etc.

Its going to get the top mounts fixed on monday and also new cam pulley bolts.

Then its going to be a good clean inside and out (hopefully a wax aswell) and under the bonnet and the door hinges.

Then when the warm weather comes its going to get some tlc as Ive found some rust bits. Also going to colour-code some bits.

Oh and Im still on the look out for a mk2 sport interior.

Thats all for now.

Time for an update:

Did a few things to the car today, firstly I fitted my Fk badgeless grille.

Before (Mesh):

After:

Sorry about the quality of the pictures.

I then took the plunge and de-wipered the rear. I have to say it has really improved the rear of the car.

After:

Next job is to get my Oz's on then a good polish and wax.

That is all for now.

Thanks for the comments. I think I prefer the badgeless grille tbh, alot better than the mesh I had on before.

The car has a few little parking dents etc but Im planning on fixing those as I think Im going to keep hold of it for alittle longer.

I have thought of gti headlights but they are hard to pick up and Im not sure about the wirning etc.

Thanks. I would like something with abit more power but I really cant justify it as the mk2 is my everyday car and theres no way I can afford to run to cars at this time. So I think the mk2 will be a long term project, hopefully a respray in original colour is next.

And I know what you mean about the Super T's, everytime I look at my car I like them even more :D

Alright cheers mate. I do sound tempted by that, only thing is I would have to change my hids. :headhurt:

I never like white before I bought my car. But when I went to my local dealer to look at it there was just something, dont know if its because its an 'off' white and not a 'white' white. But now I love white cars. And they look the business when properly cleaned and polished.

Love the car chap, really do. Never a fan of the white ones myself, but this one would be an exception to my rule :)

Can I ask as I have no idea where to start...... where do you get you bits from ? I am looking around but finding nothing.

Sadly I am gonna be bugging you alot I think as I really want that clean look on my ibiza :)

Cheers

Thanks. I was never really a fan of white either but since owning the white car I love white cars.

Id love a white Scirroco next. Or a white Corrado.

I got the bits from either the dealer or ebay. If theres anything you want to know or that then dont be afraid to ask. You wont be bugging me, Im more than willing to help.

Got a few good comments from a couple mates at college, thats the first time Ive been back with the Oz's on. They are really into there jap motors and to get a good comment from them is something.

Put a massive smile on my face. :D
