cordoba A/C

hello guys, I'm a new member of this forums although I have been reading threads for a long time here.

I own a Cordoba GLX, year 95 having 1.4 petrol. I need to know if it is possible and/or complex to fit it with an Aircondition system? because here we have high temperatures and it is well needed. it has no factory A/C, and so would it be complex and worth it to install one??

thanks, i asked here cause i know there are seat gurus here

for the age of the car, no i'ts not wort the hassle at all. you would have a job finding the parts that are half good as well

but in my country a seat cordoba and all cars are not that cheap, i'm just happy with my car and want an A/C system because the temperature is very high and summer hasnt begun.
can anyone tell me what is needed fo such installation, and is it so difficult to do it or not?
since the car has no factory A/C, where will the A/C compressor be fixed to?
if it is possible to be done with 300pounds its worth

i'd try and find another car from a scrap yard. and pull all the bits off that. be the easyest way of doing it. the only thing im not sure about, is did 1.4 ibiza/cordobas come with a/c. as you need the mounting bracket for the pump and stuff. and im not sure but i think cordys with a/c are only 1.6 and 2.0 i may be wrong, i usually am..

i dont know if 1.4 came with A/C may be ure right but dont know. if i make my mind to start fitting this A/C system which thing should i look for first (compressor or what?) ??
i found a company specialised in car A/C which has A/C compressors for a 95 cordy with 1.4 engine so i suppose it can be done. The quote for an a/c compressor from this company was quoted as £315 with shipping incl.

im not 100% sure but you would need a pump, the small a/c rad, the pipe work, the heater controls and may be the heater box behind the dash, this is all best guess as ive never looked at my a/c that much. that why i say if you can find a car to strip, you can track round all the parts.

yes the price isnt a low one, even if the shipping is only from eu within eu its a bit high! when installed i will have it charged by someone then to make it ready for use.
does anyone know how the compressor is fixed to the engine, basically where it will go in the seat engine?
is it a difficult task to install an a/c system?

the thing i dont know is how the a/c compressor (or pump call it what u want) will be mounted to the engine in order to be turned by the engine (basically what will make the pump function?!?) ??

there's another pullly fitted to the crank. that runs the a/c pump and alternator . on my car the a/c pump is at the bottom of the engine and the alternator is at the top looks like the run off the same belt

ok i'll check, but i first needed to gather info before starting to clear some things.
another further question sry for insisting, but do u thing there will be already holes and place for installing the compressor even though the car has no factory a/c?? because certain accesories from factory, leave space for them even though not present, one thing is for example switches space for electric windows, foglights place in grille, etc
