Went to my local westerham seat garage and they charged me £23 for a new sensor. Looking on here before they seemed to be only £10!!![:@] [:@]

It was -40 here in Cheshire last week, being in my freezing car made it feel a lot warmer when I got out though.

I can't really be arsed paying £25 for a new one, knowing the temperature isn't worth that much to me

Yes it was in stock and i got it there and then i was very surprised. The fact mine is over reading in the high temps means my climate control only gives full heat out on the HI setting. As it think the air outside is hot so it gives me the same "hot" air inside on any of the degree temps. lol

TBC, surely your air con isnt working then with it reading in the minus the whole time?

From what I remember, you need a allen/star key set to remove 2 screws holding the wing mirror cover in place.

It then lifts off.

Then its just a case of taking the old sensor out, cutting the wires, attaching new one to old wires, solder, then refit :)

Well no but it does come on when I press the AC button anyway, I never use it in winter anyway

I just changed mine, i had one torx screw to undo and the the lower casing just priezed away, was a really simple job and now my climate controll is working again!
