Makes sense now. The cupra is awesome. As much as i like my monsoon grey with black line. I i had to do it again i would have got the dynamic grey and the multi wheels.

Haha, good good :)

Really? I remember seeing pictures of your ST on a thread and thinking, that's one of the best looking cupra's I've seen. Love it :)

I can't decide wether to get my roof wrapped black or if it would ruin the car?

I love my car. It looks great but I feel the cupra st you have on loan is nicer.

I am not a fan of modding cars with maybe the exception of a remap. I won't be doing that either as mine is a business lease.

don't know if this'll help but if you can struggle to overlook the yellow, this was one of the wrapped launch cars

Thanks Jim!

I really do like the black roof :) I'm more tempted now seeing those pics!

What's your thoughts? I'm so indecisive lol

im a sucker for contrasting panels so a black roof with Dynamic would look pretty sweet. the only negative is the finish one gets with a wrap, i don't like the orange peel effect on paint and on vinyl it looks worse, judging by the roof picture anyway. also after seeing some scare stories of vinyl appliers cutting into paint along the panel lines either you'd need to trust the company completely or be obsessively observant while they were applying it ... unless you were thinking of applying it yourself :)

Love that ST madduffyx. Your SC also looks the dogs. I hope you get the wheel sorted to your satisfaction. Enjoy the Cupra!

The ST looks huge from behind, i like that :)

how do you find the ride?

My SC is on 18's and i think because of the rather small wheelbase it hinders the comfort at times

Why do I get a VW Up or Skoda Citigo when I take my car in for work!

How different does the ST feel to the SC?

Jimi, luckily the detailer I use has recommended someone so I'd hope he was up to scratch :) I think a black roof would help it look that bit aggressive. I'll try and make up my mind by the end of the week lol

Thanks JMAC =) picked the car up today and they've done a brilliant job so really happy!

Brobbo and Breth, I noticed a big difference when I got out the ST and went back into my SC today. There was a definite increase in road noise. I'd also say the ST rides the bumps a bit better and overall more comfortable. However, in cupra mode it certainly goes round those corners and has a bit more play with the rear due to it being a longer car. I'd say the ST doesn't feel quite as sharp as my SC and maybe a tiny bit more sluggish (not that a 280bhp car can feel sluggish) lol. Hope that gives a decent summary :)

Just a quick one Jimi, do you notice any difference with your pipercross filter performance and sound wise?

torque pickup feels a couple hundred rpm's earlier but with the sound, no difference. i don't think it helps having DSG because it's a constant surge of power unlike a manual whereby there'd be an interruption with the clutch and potentially a release of pressure. with my previous car, a manual, i could hear the turbo stall stutter sound as well as hard lift-off pressure release (that's probably not the correct terminology) using Green and K&N filters.

I might need to get myself a k&n filter. Ive just read mixed reviews about whether they actually do anything or not lol No harm in trying though I suppose. I think I've decided to go for this and have black roof and wing mirrors with a cheeky red lip

i think it'd be hard to notice any difference unless you're thinking of stage1/2 etc mods at which point you'd be advised to think about changing the whole airbox not just the filter. did notice a little lift-off noise tonight in cupra mode but it was quiet and i had the windows down, chances of hearing it again during the day are remote lol

the red lip looks good but it seems to be quite a narrow section for the wrap to adhere to? maybe not... :)
