Considering a Cupra (Insurance)

Hi! New to the forum so it's my first post.

I'm considering buying a Ibiza Cupra, after having a ride in my friends i'm impressed. The problem i'm having boils down to insurance. I'd be looking at buying the car after i'm 21, but with 0 NCB (not had insurance in my own name before) it's a bit of a struggle.

Cheepest i've found is ~£1100 from Elephant, I know Greenlight come recomended on here ,but I don't have the 1 year NCB they require

Wondered if anyone had any insurance companies that they know are good for 0 NCB on Cupra/Hot Hatches (apart from Admiral group)

the cheapest ive found is bell.co.uk, im 22 and have 0 ncb with 1 accident, it was £1015. Problem was when i came to pay it monthly it was over £1300 cos they charge 8.5% interest!

So im going to get a £1000 loan from northern rock which only costs £77 to borrow for the year at 5.6%. Just a way of saving a bit of money if you cant pay it all in one whack

Thanks, will ahve a look at Bell, know they are part of Admiral, but see what happens.

OT, try Alliance and Leicester for a loan, think they are 5.5 or 5.4%??

Mate im 19 and pay £980 thru Admiral, have 1 years no claims tho!

Its all a bit of a postcode lottery really, i'm 23 with 2 years no claims and an accident in 2003. Mine has just gone down (once i got my 2 years NCB) from almost £1600 to £1100. The thing is i have spoken to many customers of ours with big cars and am shocked at how cheap some have it! One customer was 21 with a rapid 2.7 bi-turbo Audi S4 - living in the centre of london with full no claims, was paying just under a grand!! I dont think the companies like my postcode. Even though my area is really nice the postcode takes into account a bunch of low spots where your lucky to find a car NOT on bricks!

I ran a Saab 900 Turbo at 17 for £700 TPFT not at nigh on 20 im paying £900 odd for my Ibiza, work that out lol

Try Adrian Flux, they were the best for me when quoting around. Elephant would've easily beaten them if I didn't have 4 bloody points.

Bell cut my insurance from 900 with elephant TPFT to 347 FC

But i have a rather smaller engine.

20 with 2yrs NCB, clean license
