cone filters

after a bit of reading it seems that they aren't liked as they can bugger the MAF, or at least the oily ones can and also the metal gauze ones cannot trap dust, but the powertec ones say they are supposed to be good? i have seen them on rick's LCR at one stage and also now on robdon's cupra.......so what's the general opion of them now, have people had a re-think? if so what experiences have you had from which models of cone filter?

i think jetex cone filters don't need oiling. jabba sell them, i think K&N filters don't need any oil either............ but i could be wrong!

Green filters are MAF friendly.
