Condensation help?

Ok so i bought a 03 ibiza and 2 days after i realised the drivers side headlight misted up, so i found this site as and joined up and searched for threads relating to this problem which were a great help.
I dried out the headlight and drilled a hole in black cover as suggested and went to fit a breathing tube as one person suggested but instead used a rubber sleeved grommet off a plug which worked a treat no steam and no water inwards for about a week or so even when driving in heavy rain and spray off roads........until yesterday when the weather was a little chilly again i drove 20miles in the morning and went to get into car 10 mins after stopping and noticed it had fogged up again.
So i cleared it of mist yesterday and carried out another 2 methods- silica gel and vaseline around rubber seals, again it cleared untill i drove it home and then got out and noticed a little mist again!!

Any ideas on what else i can do or as to why it had been so clear after initial fix through all conditions and now its gone back to being a pain again??

I seem to remember the drivers side one mists up more due to it being more open and closer to the belts flicking water at it

the passenger one is more closed in by the battery

Once the silica gel has absorbed a lot of moisture tho it will stop being as effective mate, u might just need to change the packets??

You can ofc burn off the excese water quite easily using a folded sheet of white papaer and a little patience. Put the white paper over your headlight turn on your beams and the water should burn off.

Obvious it can come back but i heard its worked for other folks before.

Silica-Gel needs drying/regenning, regularly ( just ask a school science teacher ). Just put them in a warm top-oven at home, and cool them in a sealed poly-bag, before refitting them.
The other point, of water spray coming off the auxialliaries drive-belt seems worth screening-off with heavy-grade polythene sheet taped in place with strong "DUCK TAPE"
