I've had a few passengers moan from the rear - I just tell em' to shut up or get walking! Personally, I find the Leon's ride pretty smooth, unless your on one of them council roads between villages, that has not seen a re-surfacing machine in 10 years.

Anyway, Leon owners have no idea what a stiff chassis is like - My Ibiza Cupra was a very short lived experience, as there was NOTHING refined at all about that cars suspension... Truly awful in comparisson, and showing it's age a bit.

Id be worried if youve got passengers moaning from the rear mate:clap: Like others have said it isnt a sports car but its designed as a hot hatch or what ever you want to call it and the ride is always going to be a little firm!

My cupra is much more compliant than the FR (Or Sport), the reason is the nasty crashy rebound on the earlier models, the Cupra has slightly softer springs and lighter alloy front suspension arms.

My Mrs hates the older car & wants to ride around in the Cupra all the time...nice try chuck ! ;)

I'm Sure i read that the cupra has softer suspension than the FR.

So us Cupra owners will have a healthy spine after a few years... you FR drivers may aswell call it a day :) or its a wheel chair for you in your 50s

Well my Leon 2.0 TDi is running on 16's at the mo to help keep my fuel bill down and the Mrs still moans the ride is too "bumpy". I have the sports seats and sports suspension which may be a bit harsher than normal but I personally love the ride, and seeing as I'm the driver, bollocks to everyone else :D.

Yes the ride is firm, but the grip and control is excellent.... My missus complained a little until I finally let her have a drive...... Now I have to hide my keys!!!!

All i can think about now is the old Rayleigh advert when the dad buy his son a bike then looks out of the window and says - "Im still not sure about that saddle though, llike sittin on't razor blade"

Whose car is it anyway????????????????

As a passenger. You do not like it then :censored: walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I believe the FR seats "more" than compensate for the FR's hard ride ;)

Road Tax going up.
Fuel price going up.
Number of drivers going up......

And yet we drive on third world roads. Some roads near where I live are literally crumbling to bits. Rather than fix the hole properly they sometimes fill them in with stones, which lasts about 10 minutes

Passengers in my car neither moan, nor complain about a hard ride.

Then again, ive never taken my car on a dogging trip so perhaps I should investigate:cartman:

Only ever had one winge from a passenger about the harshness of the car, and that was from my son last week.

We were going over speed bumps at the time and he'd been sitting in the passenger seat of a Saab 93 for the previous 8 hours.

The way I see it is 'If you're in my car, then you're probably getting a lift - be grateful!'
