hey guys,

everytime i start the car (cupra tdi) and drive straight onto a dual and accelerate to 80 when the engine is cool, the power suddenly cuts out. i have enough to maintain a constant speed, but not accelerate at all.

to solve it i have to pull over, turn off, and turn on again and it drives perfectly.

anyone else had this? or is it supposed to do that to 'protect engine'?

i dont know if its any help, but i remember reading somewhere that you should wait till the tempurature is at a bit below the 90 mark, before really bombing it something to do with the turbo and oil?

Driving it hard when warm or cold won't stop you from getting above 80 mph... i'd say there was a problem, get it looked at as that's not normal!
