My car failed its MOT today

The driver side coil Spring has broke.

The garage said i need to buy a pair, and you can only get them fom Seat.

Is that right???

Yes, on both parts - unless you want aftermarket ones?

I've been told something about colour codes, there are about 42 different types and each car has its own code, so second hand ones are out of the question.

if your 2nd hand ones have broken (that are on the car) then the fear would be that new 2nd hand ones will as well

But there are many 'paint stripe' combinations - so you need the right ones

I can't see them being 'too' bad from a dealer
