I've got the following code on my LCR and have done a bit of research and found what the code is.

01336 - Data Bus for Comfort System: Single-Wire Operation

Possible Symptoms
Data Bus Comfort working in Single-Wire Mode

Possible Causes
Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Modules
Control Module in CAN Data Bus Comfort faulty

Possible Solutions
Check Measuring Value Blocks (MVB)
Check Wiring/Connectors from/to Control Modules

What I would like help on is what and where are the control modules so that I can check the wiring.

Cheers

From ukmiv.net;

The CAN bus in short is network in which control modules (ECU's) can send each other digital messages.

It operates on 2 wires which both send out a signal, the signal is the same but inverted on one line and used to verify the other.

Essentially the system can run with one CAN line, which is what your car is doing. The system will still function as normal but now can not recognise a bad/corrupt signal as it has nothing to verify it against.

You need to check the CAN wires, preferably starting at the CAN gateway (which is built into the instrument cluster) and convenience ecu (located under the instrument cluster, behind the right hand lower dash panel) as the fault is on the comfort network.

The can wires are twisted and are coloured orange/black - CAN high and orange/brown - CAN low. I would guess either one of these wires are open circuit or you have a defective control module.

The OBD port isn't CANBUS, but I thought some of the intermodule comms was? And the fault code suggests a failure between modules.

The google search I did for the ukmivs response showed that there is no 'alternative' fault code meaning, so if that's the code coming up then there must be a CANBUS somewhere in the wiring, even if it doesn't present itself at the port?

Does your original advice stand then including where things are?
