Thanks for the offer Chris, I'll give you a bell if, after seeing SEAT, I still have no success.

We need a catch up anyway!!!

p.s. sorted the Westy out; was a duff battery!

No worries mate, maybe you could try Awesome as i bet they might have more of an idea than Seat lol

Yeh need to come over at some point, i wanna see the lowered RS :D Glad the Westy was an easy fix mate

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Friday night and the missus (pregnant and food pangs) decided she wanted a chip naan. I was out and so she took the Ibiza out to the kebab shop down the road.

Anyways, she said that she got there ok, but on the way home was struggling getting it in and out of gears. She ended up parking it on our drive with it stuck in a gear.

When I got home, I tried getting it out of gear to no avail. It took a lot of time and effort and once I eventually did, it was still playing silly beggars. The upshot of it is, it looks like it needs more than a white clip. The sensor/switch has popped out and the thread possibly damaged (this is the second one now as I bought one last week). That aside, the wiring attached to it seems to have torn and we are stuck in a bit of a rut.

I am getting it towed over to SEAT later to let them have a look at it. It's doing my head in so I'm just gonna have to pay through the nose!

I'll let you know how I get on...

The car is back and repaired.

As expected, it needed the white clip and the wiring repaired.

Haven't driven it yet. The GF drove it home as I took her to get it in my car. Apparently she said it drives lovely so all done (finally!)
