climate control

hi. the climate control in my 04 plate 130 sport has been playing up recently. the display has been flashing on and off for ten seconds when the ignition is switched on and then it goes back to being the normal display after. is this normal as ive only had the car for 3 weeks. is there any way in which i could view a diagnostics system on the climatronic unit? any info would be great,

Have you got access to Vag-Com?
You can run a diagnoses on the climate control through the Comfort/Conv tab (if I remember correctly) but stand to be corrected on this.

Mine did this the other week, not done it since! Sorry, thats not very helpful is it! Try the search function?

had a quick look myself at work, found quite a few leaves in the pollen filter, not much else at first glance. also since the display went awol, the blower is blowing nowt out the vents and it aint good when it rains, trust me. trying to get it sorted out under a used car warrenty, easier for me. post a reply when i get it back

the flashing when you switch it on basically means "ive got a problem" mine did the same when it was degassed. Yeah should get it done under used car warranty.

Think mine did it cos I was driving along at speed with vents all closed, although system was turned off, flashed following morning when first started it up, only done it that one time tho! WIll probably need re-gassing soon though!

the car has fixed itself. still taking it in 2mo, just in case there is still a fault under warrenty

Good old self fixing ibiza's, it will be fine now till your on your way back from the garage.........................

funny you should say that. apparenty the garage cleared all the faults and reset all the parameters for the flap and motor sensors. i left the garage then it played up again, yet again it fixed itself? will see how my motor goes on for now as theres 2months warrenty left.
