clicky driver seat?

Hi all. I have a annoying click coming from my drivers seat?? I think its from one of the runners? i tried grease but it still clickes. Im thinking maybe if i take the seat out i can have a proper look around but cant see how it come out? Anyone had this problem or know how i can remove the seat?? Thanks!!

I bet its coming from the seat belt buckle tapping against the seat base. Try holding it away from the seat base while you are driving along and I bet it stops. Took me ages to suss that out! Cured it by putting a little foam pad on the buckle.

mine makes a very slight click when accelerating then back again when braking, i must look into it sometime.

Ok thanks i will give that a try but im not sure? i think it is coming from the other side? bit hard to hear really.

Ah Cordobabrendy, That sound the same as mine!!! Its really starting to bug me? Hope you have some joy coz im lost really.

to be honest it sonds like a bit of plasstic has either moved or been worn away leaving metal on metal, as i said, its only very slight, turning the radio up fixes it for now! The seat will hardly fall off either.

Seats are pretty easy to get out - it's advisable to disconnect the battery though incase you disturb the airbags


I've written this before somewhere, so I'll see if I can find the old thread -

basically ...

use some strong sticky tape to lift the plastic discs out of the 'rail covers at the back of the seat and unscrew the covers - slide out
unfasten the two ....12mm ?? bolts at floor level in the centre at the front of the seat
push the seat backwards till the couple of wheels inside the rails pop out into the rear passenger footwell
remove seat
