chrono yellow cupra

Hi all
Just need some advice. I bought this last year and am loving owning a cupra. I notice the over day that there seems to be paint fade on the car and I am wondering what options I have to resolve this issue. I know a respray will be mentioned but is there anything else which an be done. If respray is the only option what would be the cost if I was to go for the same colour. It seems to be the wings that are affected as the front bumper and bonnet are fine.I will add photos

Might just need a good paint correction to restore tge colour. Could try some meguiars ultimate compound, pain in the ass to apply by hand but it'll give you a good idea if it just needs a good "restore. Should be able to tell with the pics though (Y)

I have DA but would this bring colour back. If you look at the wing it is a few tones lighter that the edge of the bonnet and the bumper

Are the bits of wing which havent been exposed to sun the same shade as the rest of the wing or darker like the bonnet and bumper?

Seems odd they would fade but the other panels not fade?

I'm sure someone on here said that the crono yellow fades under the clearcoat layer & a machine polish won't bring it back, because you polishing the clearcoat rather than the yellow underneath.

I think that means a respray then. Unless there is anything else I can do

Has it previously had a respray on just the bonnet and bumper? How does the colour of the front wings compare to the doors?

I'm not sure if they have been resprayed before but they don't match

I'd see if you can find someone with a paint thickness gauge (on DetailingWorld if there's nobody here) and get it checked - if it has been resprayed already that should be obvious from a quick comparison of the panels. The ability to polish the faded colour back doesn't work on recent-ish cars - that was from the days before clearcoat, where the actual colour was all the way through the paint, whereas now it's a very thin layer of colour + the clearcoat on top. So if it genuinely is mismatched, you'll only fix it by a respray as previously mentioned.

Thing is that it's a similar story on the other side with the win, bumper and bonnet

A decent detailer would be able to bring that back to its best. May need wetsanding but sure it wouldn't need a respray.

If you have a DA then that would be my first option.

Would that be possible to get the colour back through wet sanding
