Im liking alot, can i ask was your clutch on its way out when you mapped her, and what was it mapped too BHP/Torque, as there are alot of mapped TDIs out there running standard clutches and i dont want to buy one then have to shell out on a clutch a month later!

I've not had her dyno'd but Will said my ECU was a later one and was pretty much identical to one he did a week earlier that did have a dyno, that dyno reported 195BHP/302lb/ft.

If anyone asks me I tell them 190bhp/300lb/ft. I had no slippage before remap, but I only had the car under 5 weeks before remapping her.

Nice one Chris. Nice to see her in the metal.

ARB's next?

ARB's, Brakes, Rear Strut, HID's, Splitter and Exhaust next :)

Still clueless what to do about exhaust, I just know which tip I want (the single oval Cupra one) -

I'm down to two choices now:-

Keep CAT and have a custom resonated pipe OR dump CAT and have a resonated pipe. I've read a user on here loosing power after he removed CAT (back pressure presumably) - I'd like the exhaust to be right first time, as if it aint it will end up costing a small fortune to get bits re-attached etc.

Today was the short shirt fitting day.

Luckily picked up a Neuspeed shortshift on Ebay for a good price.

Took me about 1 hour to fit during my dinner break, reason it took me 1 hour is cos the old one didn't want to come off.

Very straight forward, lots of cuts on hands/arms.

I didn't think the short shift would reduce the amount of throw like it has........feels wierd, but like it! :)

Chris, where did you get the upper strut brace from. From the photo it doesn't look like it interferes with the engine cover unlike some others. What difference did changing the dogbone mount have on the car.

I got it from strutbracer.co.uk it was about £56 inc postage. The strut is a red sparco for a Audi A3, and yes it doesnt foul/rub/vibrate on the engine cover.

Item Title:
Audi A3 TDi Strutbrace

Item Number:
036RG761

I think demon-tweaks do that brace too.

Eibach Pro Springs & Damps fitted.

Doesn't feel much different at low speeds, apart from no bouncing over potholes now.

The kits really kicks into life at higher speeds though, very nice ride.

Back is sitting down nicely already, front is sticking up slightly.....will take pics when its all settled.

Thumbs Up! :D

nice, i think what you will find is that from the factory they sit nose down, when you fit the aftermarket kits, they tend to level the ride height front and back
