It wont be noticeable, but it will sound better. Expect 10-15bhp or so from a turbo back system on a mapped car.

so what would really be the next step in making a decent power gain without going ott with £££, don't get me wrong 240hp is quick, but a little bit more hp would be nice!!

Near Reevo :)
Mate, you need to understand how much power the DSG box can take *before* you start looking at more power gains..

240 through a box designed for 198 i think is pushing it already.

Going back a bit, i was looking at Revo and there claim is 260hp? but most company's only claim about 240ish? why is this? is it because of the gearbox?

Numbers are pub talk. If you want a noticeable gain, trade your car in, buy a Cupra and remap it to 300+bhp.

I am more than well aware that numbers are pub talk, i own several cars one being a supercharged Atom so its not like i'm out to beat hp from a cupra. all i was asking was how to extract a little bit more hp effectively.

The main reason i never opted to go for a cupra in the first place, was the fact that its not got the DSG box.:)

Air filter, exhaust etc, but if you have an Atom then you will probably be aware of how the cost of modifications increase and the increase in power you get from them get smaller. Air filter, exhaust and intercooler would be wise additions on top of a remap. You may be lucky and achieve 260bhp with all the above together.
