That's a pretty cool idea.
You'd think you'd hear 7psi escaping somewhere on the road though wouldn't you.
The trouble with checking for leaks when the cars sat still is it's not under load, the pressure isn't in the system.
I'd like to try that on mine just to double check I have no leak anywhere but I don't have an air compressor anyway
ive got one!!!! well not mine but the old man wouldnt mind me using it!
i think my hearing is buggered as i never heard my first boost leak and that was by the n112 valve! -
slightly off topic - the metal pipe the TIP goes on to, should this have a clip on it? and how easily should the TIp come off? as i tried removing mine and it seemed a little tough and had no clip

excuse my naiveness (if thats a word) - but from the rubber intake, it goes the the metal cylinder - where does it go after that? and is it a case of removing it by hand -
Im looking to get the samco intake hose, does this go on the metal cylinder ?
That idea is pretty good. Alot of the American guys on Vortex use that technique - Helps to find leaks that only appear under max boost (like over 15psi) as you can't replicate that kind of pressure whilst revving it in neutral
imght had to purchase me TIP then...has to be in red though! after reading the link above, the guy had a leak by the breather so process of elimination
